Our therapy focuses on functional communication, helping people communicate with family, participate in social activities and maintain independence in daily life.
We offer services in the clinic and support people across Bribie Island, Moreton Bay, and North Brisbane.
Our Approach We take a person-centred and neurodiversity-affirming approach to therapy. Sessions are tailored to each person’s goals and may include:
improving speech clarity
strengthening the voice
supporting conversation skills
building strategies for communication
improving safe swallowing
practising real-life communication situations
For some clients, therapy may also include community-based practice, helping individuals use their communication skills confidently in everyday environments.
Adult Social Communication Group We also offer social communication groups for adults, designed to help participants build confidence in conversation, connect with others and practise communication skills in a relaxed environment. Participants also have opportunities to practise these skills in the community, supporting the transfer of skills learned in therapy to real-life situations.
